Aixa Chen is a multidisciplinary artist based in Singapore who has pursued Art from a young age, excelling it throughout her early education days. She was selected for the Art Elective Programme during her ‘O’ Levels and graduated with a distinction in Art. She later expanded her practice into graphic and multimedia design, while also exploring music production, on-screen performing arts and martial arts. Returning to fine arts with a broadened perspective in life and deeper self-awareness, she now creates with a deliberate sense of innocence – echoing the unfiltered expression her childhood self once embraced. She has both diploma and bachelor’s degree in Design.
Her style is rooted in the childhood joy of bold, thick black outlines that once invited her to fill them with colour. Today, those same lines evolve into expressive strokes inspired by Chinese calligraphy, forming the foundation of her visual language. Her subjects embody a fusion of Western and Asian influences, reflecting Singapore’s multicultural identity – where contrasts coexist harmoniously, and tradition meets contemporary expression in a playful yet thoughtful balance.

“Simplicity has often been the way of life for her, and it translate into her Artworks as well, where she believes there is no such thing as a ridiculously simple piece of art.”
